Purchase order workflow error

A user has tried to cancel a purchase order. However, the workflow gives the error above.

Any suggestions for how to solve this?

Solved: Quantity cannot be reduced because the remaining update quantity changes sign (I am trying to change the price of an item). (dynamics.com)
