For a project we are planning to implement Sharepoint as the main fileserver and collaboration tool. In order to link documents from NAV we are using Zetadocs Express.
The setup worked well so far but it seems that Zetadocs stores the document somehow unorganized in Sharepoint so they cannot be used outside NAV. Does anyone have an idea or some best practice experience?
I would prefer if we could define the file structure in Sharepoint and then Zetadocs stores the documents in the appropriate file structure, so the documents can be accessed both in Sharepoint and NAV. Even better would be if I could store documents in Sharepoint in certain folder (e.g. a specific project folder) and Zetadocs would automatically link them to the appropriate project.
Is there a way to extend Zetadocs so we can define the path the documents are stored in?

I have the same question (0)Hello Felix,
When archiving documents to SharePoint using Zetadocs Express for NAV a day-based file plan is used, ie. date sub-folders (yyyy-mm-dd) are created in the document library. Documents archived using Zetadocs Express can then be easily retrieved from within NAV or directly from SharePoint.
If using Delivery or Capture editions of Zetadocs for NAV, it is possible to customise the file structure/path that is used when saving documents to SharePoint.
If you would be interested in upgrading to Zetadocs for NAV Delivery or Capture editions, we would be happy to discuss your requirements further (please contact sales@equisys.com).
Our website has more information on the Zetadocs for NAV versions available.
