How would you handle the production of an only once produced/used item?

Like every item create it, then produce it with a production order, then block the item  or are there other ways ?

It depends on the item and the specific case, and what it takes to produce this. Might be easier to use item journal to write-off few components and then book-in one "produced" item, without creating any BOMs and production orders.

You can block the item, that's the simplest solution, but what will happen to BOM that is attached to that item for production, you will need to block all item then which were used to produce that once item forever.

You have to create an Item in Item Master & block the same once your work is done.
