'Related' tab options

Hi,

I am in the process of creating a new app for our staff database. I needed to create a number of new entities relating back to the Contact, so qualifications, education history etc.

I cant seem to find a solution to this. But I need to know how can I make all the related entities that I created to appear when the user clicks the Related tab on the Contact main form. At present, it shows the Common, Service and Sales, none of which contain any of the new entities that I created.

Thanks a lot as always.

Ted

    Hi Ted -

On these related entities, have you created a relationship that links them to contact (for example with lookup field pointing to Contact?)

Also, have you checked the contact form to verify that these linked entities appear in the "Related" part of the form?

Thanks for the information Henry. I added a lookup field from the new entity and can see it in the 'Common' menu of related entities. This leads me onto another question, how can I remove those 'Common' entities, I wont need most of them.

    Thanks again

When editing the Contact form, you can actually remove the unused "related" entities you don't use.

I believe you need to use the "classic" form designer to do so: you'll then be able to edit navigation items.
