We need to dynamically add certain content blocks in marketing emails, depending on subscription lists for the targeted contact
We cannot take adventage from what is documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/dynamic-email-content due to:
- Rather than in a contact property, we need to set dynamic content depending on which subscription lists the contact has been registered on.
- Content blocks to be added are not always the same. They will change weekly, both in name and content. We need to query the database to see which content blocks are meeting some business requirements, that even include custom columns added to the content block entity
We were thinking on creating a plugin instead. It would allow us to perform all retrieving operations and change the content of the marketing email before they are sent to contacts. But we cannot find any entity to bound the OnCreate Message for that hypothetical plugin. Where are generated those records related to each marketing email created within a customer journey? Can we attach a plugin to that record creation and change the email before it gets sent?
Hi Manuesev,
This functionality currently doesn’t exist in Dynamics 365 for Marketing. Please suggest it on the Ideas forum and we will consider adding this capability in the future.
Thank you,
