Collapse all in a AOT Developement Projet in AX2012

Hello everyone !

I am currently working in a AX2012 developement team.

I'm looking for a "collapse all" shortcut.

I already know right arrow and left arrow to expand or collapse current node.

I can see in menus File > Expand all, which works fine to expand the whole project but I do not see the opposite in File menu neither in context menu.

I'm currently working with a big project and I sorted security objects by feature in groups but every time I save my project, all my groups are expanded and I must say it's a little cumbersome.

If you have a tip, thank you in advance

Sandrine

I had the same problem. In my project I had manually added groups and had moved the components manually into the correct group. Everytime I opened my project all groups came up expanded. I removed all groups and regenerated my project using "AOT mode". Now when I reopen my project the groups that were expanded come back expanded and the groups that were collapsed come back collapsed.

I don't think such an option exists in the standard IDE, however, I beleive it would be quite easy (and fast) to write a job that collapses a specific projects' nodes. The classes to use would be: ProjectNode, TreeNode, TreeNodeIterator.

Let me know if you have further questions on this.

I guess it could be fixed easily by modifying the SysContextMenu (class/menu). Sadly enough I'm at the moment just a junior developer ...
