Dear Everyone,

As you know, we have the PBOM in AX as below shown, so what't the founction?

_5563B783_.GIF

1. Once we have finished the standard BOM, the manufacturing engineer will make the outsourcing part list to decide which parts will be purchased, I want the purchasers can get the outsourcing list from AX system.

2. Once I estimate the MO015500, we'll get the sub-MO because of the pegged supply. But I changed the line type in PBOM, AX doesn't update the MO, as belwo shown:

1). I estimated the MO015500, then get 5 sub-MO.

2). I changed the line type as 'item' for 110081, then estimated again, but the sub-MO 015504 for the 110081 doesn't disappear/removed.

So, it seems we have no chance the update the line type once we have extimated in PBOM, including 'Phantom'. Is it correct?

Thanks,

Jone

    Hi Jone,

Cannot you reset the production order to 'Created' status, change the BOM line type and reestimate it?

I do not remember exactly, but on resetting the order to 'Created' status, will remove the production order for sub BOM, which were created as result of 'Pegged supply' setup.

    Can you try and see?

    Regards

Hi Rahul, thanks for your reply.

You're correct. We can reset and reestimate, but we can't change the 'phantom', it seems you have to ensure the BOM is ok, then create the MO. The production BOM(PBOM) is better to be used in changing/deleting/add items, rather than changing the line type.
