assign departments to specific legal entities

Hello,

Bit of a background : our group consist of more than a 100 legal entities with their own department structure, as you can guess many of the departments have the same names. At the moment it seems that departments are created globally but as you can understand this would not work for us as it seems that this will cause quite a big problem in data quality ( for example there are 20 Departments called " HR " in the selection when creating a position, How is a green HR admin supposed to select the correct one.)

So to solve this problem I am trying to restrict what legal entities see what departments, but I can not find such an option.

Is there a way for me to assign specific departments to specific legal entities ?

Could you share how your companies have solved this kind of issue

Hi Paulius,

In Dynamics 365 HR, the department is shared across the organization but not specific to the legal entity.

I think you can raise a support ticket with MS and ask for the approach or solution for your requirement.
