upgrade 8.2.10 to 9.0.6 organization id exist

We have one organization in version 9.0.6 which is upgraded from 8.2.10 . I take same copy from 8.2.10 and trying to import (upgrade) in 9.0.6 with different organization name

but system find id of existing V9 organization and throw error V9 version does not support upgrade ,

I noticed that both organization have same ID .

any solution for this ?

I tried using the registry entry described as the suggested answer. It didn't work.

The import process gets confused and thinks its trying to upgrade the org that already exists.

Hi Linu,

Yes, creating 2org's with same Guid is not possible, However you can Set OptimizeOrgImport DWORD registry entry to 0 under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM, it will automatically create a new GUID to the db being imported. Delete or set to 1 once you are done if you want to restore default setting.
