Hi there,

Did anyone manage to use the New communication texts for reminder terms feature for automatic reminders successfully? I set up the Customer Communication for each level of Reminder Terms with Subject and Body text, e.g:

However, only the Subject and attachments are sent through:

The customer language and Reminder Term Customer Communication languages match.

Thank you!
I have the same question (0)

Thanks Yun but this is exactly how I set it up and the email body is not sent. I suspect it might be a bug or did you manage to make it work?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I you setup a template in 'Report Selections Reminder/Finance Charge' to 'use for Email body', the text is coming from here. But if you uncheck the 'use for Email body' in 'Report Selections Reminder/Finance Charge', the body of the email remains blank, althow Reminder Terms with Customer Communication texts in different languages are setup well according to the different documentations suggested below.
Business Central Online version 25.3 - Belgium tenant - Sandbox environment and activated the feature "Feature Update: Use new communication texts for reminder terms".

Alson the role centre "Accounts Receivabe Administrator" doesn't look like it should. Very fiew tiles and not the right ones

    Hi,

I faced the same issue and in my case the problem was that the E-Mail Body Layout which I used for reminders (defined via Report Selections Reminder/Finance Charge for Usage = Reminder) did not contain the necessary references (GreetingText Contact_IssuedReminderHdr;BodyText & ClosingText).

    Might be worth checking.

    Best,
    Martin

    Hi
Yes, the New Communication Texts for Reminder Terms feature works, but it only applies when you’ve fully set up both sides:
    1. Reminder Terms – make sure you’ve defined levels (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and linked them correctly.

    2. Customer Communications – for each reminder level, assign the communication type, subject, and body text.

    3. Reminder Setup – in the report or batch job that generates reminders, choose “Use Customer Communication” so the system pulls the defined texts automatically.

    Thanks

    Hi,

This is a known limitation. In the current release the Subject is used, but the Body from Customer Communications is not pulled into reminder emails. Only the standard reminder report body is sent.

Workaround: customize the reminder report/email layout or wait for Microsoft to address this bug in a cumulative update.

    Thanks

    hi

email subjects and bodies for each reminder level, but it will only work if a few prerequisites are in place. You must (1) configure the Customer Communication on each Reminder Term level with subject/body, (2) ensure that the customer has a valid email address or contact set up, and (3) when reminders are issued, select Send so the system pulls in the corresponding texts. If the email body still doesn’t show, check that the Email Scenario is set up correctly (Reminder Scenario mapped in Email Accounts) and that Word layout/HTML editor isn’t overriding it. In short, the setup does work, but reminders will only use your custom texts if the communication method and scenario are aligned properly with Reminder Terms.

    Hi,

It might be a limitation/bug in the current implementation of the “New communication texts for reminder terms” feature:

    Reason:-
    • The new Customer Communication templates for reminders currently only apply to email subject and attachments when using the Send by Email action.
    • The Body Text, Greeting, and Closing fields are not yet merged into the email body automatically in the standard version.
    • This is by design in the first release of the feature (Microsoft roadmap item), and full body merge is expected in a future update.
    Current Workarounds
    1. Use Email Body Layouts (Word or RDLC)
      • Go to Report Layout Selection → assign a custom layout for Reminder reports.
      • Include your desired text in the layout so it appears in the PDF attachment.
    2. Use Email Body from Report
      • In Report Selections – Reminder, enable Use for Email Body for the layout.
      • This way, the rendered report content becomes the email body.
    3. Custom AL Extension
      • If you need the new communication text fields in the email body now, you can extend the Reminder Email codeunit to merge Greeting, Body Text, and Closing into the email message.
    In-Short
The feature is not fully functional for body text yet in standard BC. Only Subject and attachments work out-of-the-box. For full email body customization, use Report Layouts or a small AL customization until Microsoft updates the feature.
