Does anyone know if there is a way in AX 2012 R3 to handle trade preferences for customs / toll?

Is there a way to handle the following supplier documents in AX:

- movement certificate - Warenverkehrsbescheinigung (WVB)
- certificate of origin - Ursprungszeugnis (UZ)
- supplier's declaration - Lieferantenerklärung (LE)
- Long term supplier's declaration - Langzeitlieferantenerklärung (LLE)

Has anyone experience to do this in AX standard?

Can this be done with the compliance module?

Isn't the Document Attachment framework good enough, being able to attach any files to any records? Sounds like you just want to be able to attach documents to Vendors, or Purchase orders / invoice journals, which AX can already do for you.

If this is not what you want, please try to explain it better.

Also maybe what you are referring to could be the Intrastat functionality of AX, that is for foreign trade and movement of goods. Take a look at that:

No, this is not sufficient at this point.

The documents belong to an item/supplier combination and have an expiration date and need to be reissued by the supplier after expiration. Some Information also needs to be inherrited from the item to the sales order / purchase order and printed on packing slip and invoice.

This is a requirement by EU that any company that trades from outside EU has to meet for tax reasons. It has nothing to do with intrastat.

So I think there must be a lot of comapanies that have these requirements covered somehow. I am wondering that retail cannot do it, but probably some companies used other structures to build a functionality to meet these requirements.

Hi Tilman, Did you got solution for Certificate of Origin/Country of Origin reports?

I also came across similar requirement and need solution in D365 Fin & Operations

We have encountered these requirements from multiple customers. While we did the required customizations from them, we made them aware that AX is not a document management tool. The customization requires creating new tools, new SSRS reports as well as expiry alerts which are setup using a customized batch job.

I will suggest to ask users to resort to other options, if not, then have an SOW for the customization.
