Field Service Mobile - Inspection Form are cleared out after saving

Hi everyone,

Has anyone encountered an issue where an Inspection Form in Field Service Mobile is cleared out after saving? In the Audit History, it appears that the Inspection Response ID was deleted by the mobile user (Please see below), even though they do not have a way in the Field Service Mobile to delete it and it happened when the User is still in the form.

Furthermore, I found the below issue in the background process

Would appreciate any insights or guidance on this. Thank you!

    Hi,

This behavior is usually related to how inspection responses are synchronized in Field Service Mobile. When an inspection is saved on the mobile app, the responses are temporarily stored locally and then synchronized with Dataverse. During this process, if the sync detects conflicts, incomplete data, or if the inspection record is recreated/updated, the existing Inspection Response records can sometimes be deleted and recreated, which may appear in the Audit History as if the mobile user deleted them.

The user typically does not have a direct option in the mobile app to delete inspection responses, so seeing the mobile user as the modifier/deleter is expected because the action is performed through their mobile session during sync.

It would be helpful to check:

    • The background process error details related to the inspection record.

    • Whether the device was offline and syncing later, which can sometimes cause response records to be replaced.

    • If there are any plugins, flows, or business rules triggered on inspection or inspection response entities.

    • The Field Service Mobile app version, as there have been known sync-related issues in certain versions.

Reviewing the background process message you mentioned should help identify whether the responses are being deleted due to a synchronization conflict or another automation running in the environment.
