Hello experts,

How can I send a calendar link to schedule an appointment from mail and track the appointment booked from that calendar link to CRM?

Thanks and regards,

    Hi Drashti,

You could take article below as reference:

    https://community.dynamics.com/365/marketing/b/dynamics-365-for-marketing-community-blogs/posts/calendar-invite-marketing-email-

Althought it talks about how to add a calendar file in marketing email in Dynamics 365 Marketing application,

the process of creating calendar file could be also applicable to activity email:

    1. Create a calendar file from Outlook.

    2. Host the file on an external website.

    3. Embed the link in email.

    Regards,

    Clofly

    Hi Clofy,

Thanks for the reply. Actually i want to send calendar link into mail which are automated using workflows. Even though if i create an appointment before sending mail how can i send that appointment link which is created in CRM calendar to mail.

So can we have an outlook calendar link into mail to schedule appointment by customer at their availability?

    Thanks and regards,

    Drashti Mehta

    Hi Drashti,

You could create an event item as reminder in your own mailbox with power automate(flow) in OOB way,

    pastedimage1581932735599v1.png

but due to the generated calendar item is stored in our own mailbox, so we couldn't send direct calendar link to customers in this way.

If you would like to add calendar as an attachment in email and send it to customers, you could try create a custom workflow:

    1. Create an ICS file string from appointment.

    2. Convert the string to activitymimeattachment.

    3. Send email with the attachment record.

    Regards,

    Clofly
