I posted this post, first on the Microsoft server 2016 standard forum. But I got some answers that this forum was better to post it in, therefore this is a "repost" (link):
Hello Microsoft NAV-community,
I have a case for you regarding recently Microsoft updates I was given from our Hosting partner. Scenario: We are running our Citrix enviroment through a hosting partner. A "Terminal desktop" if you like, that numerous users logon to, 3 vm's in total and the 3 vm's are rebootet each night, taking the image from 4'th vm(I call it "gold-image"), that they install Microsoft updates on, so that the 3 vm's always are updated.
This friday(2019-03-08), they enrolled these updates onto the server "gold-image":
KB4481252
KB4484006
KB4484038
KB4485447
KB890830
One of these updates disabled the core F3 function, on the first 4 columns, in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017(10.0.15140.0), so that we could not press F3 on either of the 4 first columns. The pointer would not place it self in the field of the filter. Column 5 and beyond, no problem, F3 still functioned as normal. (This is for example in the Item overview within Microsoft Navision)
We've experienced this with an update released last year(2018):
KB4467684
We took this off the server and the F3 function was restored to be fully functional.
We have tried to use the combination of other shortkey such as WINDOWS+F3, but it does not work.
The server is: Windows Server 2016 Standard.
Can I export any settings on the server or other logs, that could help me analyse this problem with you? The issue is, that whenever we install new updates to the "gold-image", we have a 50% chance of the F3 button nok working in our Microsoft Navision.
Thank you in advance,
Best regards Kim
