Exporting members of a Segment

Hi!

We have been searching on how to export the segment members like we could in Outbound marketing, but this time in Real-time. Is there a work-around since the functionnality is not available?

Hi,

You are correct that this isn't a feature that is currently available in Real Time Marketing yet. I've noticed it's been posted here on Microsoft's ideas portal - so please add your vote if you get a chance to try and bump it up the list!

In the meantime I would recommend trying to build out the same query criteria in a Contact / Lead view filter instead, and then exporting the results from there.

Are you, like us, trying to use real time segments as a filter on Contacts, to allow you to export any COntact related fields you like?

Hi Fiona,

That idea has been completed by Microsoft but does not really replace the old functionality. It allows you to export just five columns of data, aimed at allowing you to email contacts.

I can't believe we are unique in the world as an organisation that sometimes wants to write to segments of our customer database. The export developed so far only gives you email and name. Unlike with Outbound Segments, you can't choose to export address data or any other columns. For instance, we might want to mail merge in other information we hold about a contact, but there is no way currently to get at that data
