Error: "Item allocation failed" - WAX 2012 R3

I receive following error then I create a new picking wave in Warehouse Management module: "Item allocation failed". I use the "Release" function from the SalesOrder form.

I can create wave for the inbound but not for the outbound.

Some suggestions?!

Hi,

I have not seen this error yet. Did you setup location directives also for the Sales orders?

Please provide more and complete step by step infromation about your scenario..

As this is very new part in Dynamics AX 2012 R3, so its dificult ti understand the scenario.

André is correct, we would need to know how you have Location Directives, Work Templates and Wave Templates configured for Sales Orders (mainly Location Directives).

I solved the problem myselv, I forgot to add "Location Directive Actions" ...

HI,

I got following Error while Posting Purchase receive from Mobile Emulator In 2012 R3... Error is " Item Allocation is failed". I am entering Licence Plate Number also enabled Licence tracking in Location Profiles. It was working properly earlier. Suddenly it is showing this Error.

Please Help

Hi,

Are you now using a new or another item than before? If so, then check the settings. Otherwise someone might have changed some settings like the Location Directives.

Hi all

This is an 'old' post but it interests me as I have the same problem but on the purchase receive side.

I have location directive actions set up and to my mind they are correct, the action indicates to execute the "put" function towards a specific location profile ID.

Any ideas are most welcome.

Hi Monty78,

Is there some setting on the Location profile that might explain? For example, Mixed Items are not allowed, and all the locations with the location profile id already have a different item in?

What happens if you put an empty query on the Location Directive Action?

Hi Guy, I'm also having the same issue. I'm not able to receive PO via mobile device.

I have the same message "Item xxx allocation failed". I have checked location directive; work template but I dont see why I'm havin this issue now.

any idea?
