I noticed on the community site that there is a new software release for D365 BE. How do we know that we got that release or how do we request getting it? There seems to be no admin portal in our O365 tenant for this so checking the release there doesn't seem to be an option.

No, there is not an Admin Portal for Dynamics 365 for Financials, Business Edition. It is not possible to request the update or to put an update on hold. We do release updates to the product nearly every month. These are applied to existing tenants during the few weeks following the release. To monitor your version, you can search for and open the System Information page in Dynamics 365 for Financials. The older version of the product is 16552. The newer version of the product to watch for is 17334. The migrations to this new version are currently in progress.
