I have currently set up leave so that when an employee applies for leave a workflow triggers so that their manager approves it first then the second approval is completed by payroll.
Who would I need to put for our CEO's report line? on our old Hr system we had our CEO reporting to our HR manager for leave approval - but Dynamics HR doesn't let this happen, it says:
"The position you selected reports either directly to, or is an extended report of, position 000043 within the effective date range for that reporting relationship. Select a position that is not part of that management hierarchy, or change the effective date range for this reporting relationship."
I can't set the CEO up as report to themselves because the system won't let me, so currently the CEO position doesn't report to anyone (since they are at the top of the hierarchy).
How would I get around this? to make sure that the CEO position has a report line so that when they apply for leave someone can approve it?
