How to set up the access teams functionality?

I am not able to get the (automatically created) Access Teams functionality up and running in both Power apps and Dynamics. I hope someone can help me :-)

What I tried:

  • Set up a test entity  (with User/Team ownership) in a brand new D365 test environment
  • Check "Auto create Access teams" in the entity settings
  • Create an Access Team Template for the Test entity; all privileges checked
  • Create a Sub Grid in the main form (classic interface) with (not related entity) - "User" Entity - "Associated Record Team Members" - Team template Test

What I expected (after publishing) was a sub grid where I can add Access Team members for a specific record. However, I got a grid with all users of the tenant :-( . No buttons for adding team members to the access team or any other team specific functionality.

Does anyone have a solution for me? Would be greatly appreciated :-)

Thanks,

Elowy.

    Hi Slowytech

Have you already tried to follow a step by step tutorial like this one:

    https://www.quantacrm.com/2016/12/19/setup-access-teams-dynamics-365-crm/

The steps you took to configure the grid are the correct ones.

And on the form the grid should look like this:

Please be aware that I made the TeamAccessGrid label visible and named like that manually, from the grid configuration. Can you please share how your grid behaves?

    Best Regards,

    Hi Naveen and Mauro,

Thanks for responding. Somehow you both did some magic. Re-creating the subgrid did the trick. From there I tried it a fresh environment and (probably you won't believe me - I wouldn't), but today it all works fine. The subgrid shows an "Add user" button and I don't see all the users anymore. Even if I do exactly the same as yesterday, it works well now... Weird.

    Thanks again!

    Regards,

    Elowy.
