You can only activate a standard cost costing type

Posted on by 2,216

Hi,

I have an item ABC already assigned to a model group where the inventory model is 'standard'.

However, when I go in the price setup and activate the price, I get the message 'Item ABC inventory model is at standard cost, you can only activate a standard cost costing type. Activation has not been performed.'

What else is missing?

    Hi Sam,

What is the issue with your inventory revaluation and the financial dimension?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I will check on that. I have another posting from yesterday about inventory revaluation and the financial dimension. Let me know pls if you have any input for it.

    Thanks

Most likely you've setup your Costing version as Planned cost instead of Standard cost.  Fix your Costing version or create a new one for activating standard costs.

    Hi Sam,

Can you check your item model group that it does not only have the name 'standard' assigned but also the costing method for standard costs?

Can you possibly share a screenprint of the item model group setup?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
