Financial dimension value visible on form but not on entity

Hi,

I have a strange situation. We have few Cost Center values that are visible on Financial dimension values-form, over here:

But when I export the FinancialDimensionValues-entity via DMF, those few cost center values are missing from the excel-file. The values are not suspended. I checked the FinancialDimensionValuesEntity-view from Azure SQL and it doesn't have those records....but still they are on the form, how is this possible? I event checked the DimensionAttributeValue -table and also missing from there. Does anyone figure out what could cause this incompatibility?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I saw this similar issue with vendor bank accounts.

Probably you can check by excel add-in if these are there, I am sure wont be there.

Also, can you check if these dimensions can be selected in transactions? assuming cant be.

If above both are negative, then you can raise a ticket to MS, or talk to developer, however from the control point, there is no risk as these cant be selected.

    Hi migi111,

The values will be available in DimensionAttributeValue table once these dimensions are used anywhere in the application. A simple way would be to choose these missing dimension values in the Cost center financial dimension in master records like Customers, vendor etc.

You can remove them later. Once they have been used, they will be available in the FinancialDimensionValues entity as well.

I added the cost center that was missing from the entity values to the customer's fin dimensions and I was able to add it. After that it became visible in entity export as well. So still really weird, maybe a support case?

This is by design. The table DimensionAttributeValue gets populated only when the value is used, either for a master record or in a transaction .

I think it will be easier for you to design a custom entity that gets all the dimensions values so that you could export them without issues.
