Filter By not working for custom autonumber column, error - "Please enter value"

Hi,
 
We have a custom autonumber column on our account entity. We are trying to use the /filter by/ functionality on the column to filter a table by id, e.g. firmid eq 1234. However, we keep getting an error message saying /Please enter a value/.
 
We were apparently originally able to do this but, as of yesterday, it has stopped working.
 
I have checked the column's setup in customization and searchable is enabled, so not sure why this is happening.
 
Other columns like text columns appear to be fine.
 
Has anyone else has this issue?

    It appears turning on the "New Look" feature worked.
     
    Does anyone know if there is a fix for the existing look?

    Hi,
    We have a customer who has reported the same issue since a few days (on all numeric fields, even OOB fields). Switching to the "new look" does indeed work, or using the "edit filters" function also works...
    Seems to be a recent bug...
