Run Workflow in Customer Journey

Hi,

I found the strange behavior in customer journey. When I add Run workflow tile in the journey it doesn't trigger for custom entity except for Contact entity.

I do not see any documentation also which states that Run workflow triggers only for contact entity and not for any custom entity.

Can we go ahead and Run workflow which is created as On Demand on entity other than Contact  in customer journey?

If yes, how can we do it?

    It is required that the workflow is set as on demand and based on the contact entity to be used in a Customer Journey
