andywingate is correct, the Edit in Excel function cannot be used in all pages. The sales lines is one such page where Edit in Excel is not possible.

    Hey,

There is no setup for it. The definition what you can change is defined by the data entity, i.e. a developer needs to either change the fields in the entity to delete, update, insert or a new entity needs to be created to do so.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hiya,

Edit in Excel - which you are clearly using - lets you edit any field you could edit from the related page.

You have loaded the Sales Lines page - there is no edit mode on that page, so an Edit in Excel of that page wont let you edit anything!

However, there is another page you can use in Edit in Excel - the salesDocumentLines; to get that just create a new sheet in the same workbook and use design to pic the table

add all field (or the ones you want) and away you go!

Edit-in-Excel will still only ever allow changes to field you could have changed (e.g. don't try to change a flow field, the publish for that row will fail)

Here is a short video of the steps. https://www.screenpresso.com/=Au6if

    Good luck,

    Best
    Andy

From Business Central You have to select the option "Edit in Excel", not "Open in Excel".
If You use Edit in Excel, then the Publish button will be active (if You have all the setups done that this feature is enabled).
