Disable Editing/Creating_New Journal Line after Submitting the Journal to Workflow in D365 FO

Hi there,

I got a requirement to Create an Approval Workflow for Inventory Management > Items > Movement Journal in D365 FO. I had developed according to the standard Process and Workflow button is enabling after adding a Journal to the Form. But, our client wants the Workflow process to be similar to General Ledger Workflows in D365 where we cant edit the Journal Lines after submitting to Workflow (Ex: General Journals). I need the logic to disable editing or creating a new Journal Line after submitting the Journal to the workflow. Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You must have added status enum field for workflow in your table. Check what the status is after submitting and disable datasource for creating/ editing records.

Hi Sukrut, initially the Worflow Status is Draft, after submitting the Journal to Workflow the Status changes to InReview. From there i want the Journal and Journal Lines uneditable similar to General Ledger Workflows (Ex: General Journal Form). What & Where i need to write the logic to disable that ?

The latest version has a new feature called Inventory journal approve workflow. After enabling it, system will provide standard inventory journal workflow. Please refer to my screenshots.
