pallet specific info/receipt of goods

i have a couple of questions about receiving goods in NAV.
We store steel plates in our warehouse, and i would like to know if its possible to put into NAV the pallet-specific information when receiving goods?
Now when receiving goods, we receive for example 2429 kgs of one product and NAV only teels me that we have 2429 kg in stock. I need to know the exact weight of each pallet and the only way to do that now, is to have a separate Excel list on the side.
Is that possible to do, or does it require programming or some extra warehouse-management-module to be added to NAV?

And another thing, which i guess is related to the issue mentioned above, is it possible to print out some kind of a pallet/item label when receiving goods?

As tharanga suggests use item tracking with lot no., add needed uoms to the items, in the tracking lines you can set the quantity per lot no. (I.e. the weight per pallet, if base uom is kg with unit 1).

You can use item tracking (Lot), if you want to go into the details of pallet. Refer below link to get a basic idea about lot tracking : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uREAqyAcCwU

In the LOT Tracking, when you receive items you register them under specific Lot Numbers. In your case you can use your pallet no as the Lot No. In the purchase order level you will only see the total quantity, but if you go to Item Tracking Lines, then you can see the assigned Lot No, and you can also assign to new Lot Numbers (pallet).

At the selling point also you need to select which Lot is used and depending on that system will reduce the quantity in the Lot No.

    Hi

Lets say, we receive 2429 kg of product AA. The first pallet has a net weight of for example 802 kg, second pallet 810 kg and third pallet 817 kg. So is there a way in NAV to put in pallet/bundle specific information??

Instead of NAV only telling me we have 2429 kg in stock, i need to know that we have one pallet with 802kg, second with 810 kg and a third pallet with 817kg.

    Is that possible?

    Hello,

You can setup different units of Measure for an Item and then you those on the purchase order so that you can record them in the pallets. Regarding the report, there is no standard report available you need to create a new report for that.

As Archer suggested you can use Additional unit of measure for achieving this.

you can add additional unit of measures to items, e.g. Palett, Box. There you can set relation between the base UOM and the new UOM (e.g. 1:10). then you can work with these UOMs when purchasing or on inventory movments.

for special purposes you'll need some customizations or a WMS addon.
