Failure to Copy Production Environment to Sandbox in Dynamics 365 BC

I am writing to seek assistance with an issue we encountered while attempting to copy our production environment to create a sandbox environment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The operation failed with the following error message:
  • Status: Failed
  • Error: We can't save your changes right now, because a record in table 'Doc. Exch. Service Setup' is being updated in a transaction done by another session. You'll have to wait until the other transaction has completed, which may take a while. Please try again later.
  • Operation Details:
    • Operation Type: Copy
    • Copied From Environment: Production_main
    • Copied From Type: Production
    • New Environment Name: Test_us5
    • New Environment Type: Sandbox
    • Country: US

Operation Time:

  • Scheduled on: 17 Jun 2024, 08:53:10 CEST
  • Started on: 17 Jun 2024, 08:53:11 CEST
  • Completed on: 17 Jun 2024, 10:20:29 CEST

I have attempted the following steps to resolve the issue:

  • Waiting for a period of time and retrying the operation.
  • In some of our previous attempts an error with the 'Net Promoter Score' table occurred. 
  • Checking for active sessions and processes that might be accessing the 'Net Promoter Score' and 'Doc. Exch. Service Setup' tables.
  • Scheduling the copy operation during off-peak hours to minimize potential conflicts.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists, and I am unable to successfully create the sandbox environment. The error first time occurred on 05 Jun 2024, 13:13:38 CEST

We have two production environments: one in the US and one in AT country/region. I do not encounter any problems when copying the Production Environment to Sandbox in the AT region.

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue. Could you please provide guidance on the following:

  1. Steps to ensure the completion of any pending transactions affecting the 'Net Promoter Score' or 'Doc. Exch. Service Setup' tables.
  2. Recommendations for preventing this concurrency issue in future copy operations.
  3. Any additional troubleshooting steps or actions that we can take to resolve this problem.

    Hi Folks,
     
    We are also facing the issue as not able to copy the production environment into sandbox:
     
    We have followed all the response : 
    Cancelled all sessions
    Restarted environment
    Checked Document exchanged setup - there is nothing enabled
     
    At last we have generated the ticket to Microsoft.

    We had the same issue with one of our customers. We solved it by doing the following
    1. Go to the Integration Synchronization Jobs
    2. Delete all entries older than 7 days
    3. Repeat step 1 + 2 for every company in the environment
    After doing so we managed to copy the production environment
     
    Even though this worked we still address this as a Microsoft issue and they need to come op with a long term solution

    I have the same error

    Agree with Saurav, this is clearly a Microsoft issue. Or you could try raising this issue in the BC Yammer Group first.

    If it still has issue, I suggest creating a ticket with Microsoft.
     
    The only way that we would think of is already discussed which is to restart environment.

    @YUN ZHU Thank you for your prompt response. Yes, I have tried restarting the environment and the issue remains.
    I have also updated the version - still, the same issue (current version: 24.1.18927.19282).

    I am getting the same error. As Yun ZHU said i have tried restarting the current environment and then copying it, but the issue still exists.

    Anyone have a solution for this? really appreciating
