Hi All,

I've done necessary setup for Fixed Asset Module, i assume which is ready to post a FA journal voucher to test the setup.

However, when i try to validate entry, this error is poping up "Value Model does not exist for fixed asset".

Please help me to understand the issue.

Thanks,

Yugi

Did you define value model for your fixed asset?

    Hello Yugi,

A value model is a 'must have' setup for a fixed asset because it tracks all the financial data and transactions recorded for that fixed asset.

Please setup the value model and try again posting a journal.

Note: If you have not done the value model setup before then have a look at the Microsoft Contoso demo companies and how the setup is made there.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Does your value model exist in master? Looking at your error message, it seems it doesn’t

    Hi Yugendar,

Please check above comments as mentioned by LudwigNikolaos and Khushhal.

In addition to that, you have to check the following if setup is done appropriately or not. If below setups are done, then it will be automatically reflected in each and individual fixed asset.

    1) Go to fixed asset Setup > Books and check if you have selected the books or not. Also, you have to click on Fixed asset groups tab available in Books form and check whether you have selected the fixed asset group for that Books or not.

    2) Further; you have to go to Setup > Fixed asset groups form and check if you have selected the books for that fixed asset group under Books as available in this form.

Point to be noted: - Even if you have already done the setup as mentioned in Point 1; it doesn't mean that it will be reflected in Point 2

Setup what is highlighted in Point 2, may need to do separately in Fixed asset groups form which you have to check if done or not.

Kindly check and update in this forum.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam
