How is the shortcut dimensions imported in to nav2013?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I would like to know if there is a way to import the shortcut dimensions in the General Journal Lines.

in NAV 2009, we were importing it to Journal line dimensions. In the current version, this table is no longer available so how do we import the dimensions?

Thanks!

Riza

    Dear All,

You can download Universal Data Import Export tool at Mibuso.

It now supports you import/export Dimensions via delimited text:

    Hi Riza,

Did you import shortcut dimensions successfully?

Our Universal Data Import Export tool (www.mibuso.com/dlinfo.asp) will cover this matter and some requirements such as extend Field Filter to 250 characters, skip update existed database records, ... from our Partners and their Customers. We will make internal test next week. Would you like to join with us? I can issue the license to you for 2 weeks, just contact me via 4BzSoftware@gmail.com email and I will send back NAV Objects to you.

You can import and export data using NAV XML ports.

For more info about the XML ports refer below links:

You need to have some NAV table structure knowledge to create this.

    Hi,

The best way is to create XML port with the shortcut dimensions. You can import the General journal line from Excel to system by this way and it is very easy.
