Initialize Variable for Choice Field Not Working in Power Automate

Hi,

I have a Choice field named 'Application Type', and when that field is modified, I want to trigger an action. So for that I used the trigger 'When a row is modified', and then I Initialized Variable for that choice field as follows (please refer screenshots)...

Then I applied a condition on that Initialized Variable...

 PowerUser06_5F00_2_2D00_1663627765125.png

So if the value of the Choice field is a particular value, I want to trigger an action, but whether the value is equal to my chosen value or not, the result of the condition is always returning 'false', and the 'If no' action is the one that is always being triggered.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my condition?

Thanks!

    Are you using Multi-select option set or normal option set?

    Because muti select option set will provide you array of options set values.

    Also check trigger point's output. If option set contains data or not.

    Thank you,

    Amit katariya.

    Hi D365 User 06,

    Check what value is given to you when the 'Power Automate' trigger. Open one run history this will give all the details.

    If you are using a multi-select option set then it is a special type. You can read about it more using the search: Power automate & multiselect optionset - Search (bing.com)

    If I answer your question then please mark it as verified.

    Let me know if I can provide you with more details.

    Thanks

    Thanks for your response. No its not a multi-select option set, just a normal one. I checked the trigger point's output, it seems to be picking the label and value of the compared value correctly. The number 248870003 is the value for choice option label 'Extension'. This is what is shown in the output...

    {

    "new_applicationtype": 248870003,

    "_new_applicationtype_label": "Extension"

    }

    Thanks for your response. I opened one run history, it shows that the Trigger of my flow has captured both the values correctly. This is what is shown in the output...

    {

    "new_applicationtype": 248870003,

    "_new_applicationtype_label": "Extension"

    }

    The number 248870003 is the value for choice option label 'Extension'.

    Since your variable is the string type, try to enclose with quotes. '248870003'
