ExFlow web app error

Hi all

Has anyone else having (or had) issues with the Exflow web app? On Friday the 1st November, it stopped working for us with the follow message below. The F&O module version is working just fine, it's just that our accounts payable staff prefer the web version due to it's simplicity.

Setup Issue!

Onboarding/Setup Issue Detected

Request ID: 00-cb4cc0593b2535db1fb384dbec3d0b65-796e04582950d0d9-00

Details: Access denied (Reason:Failed to initialize) (version 2024.10.7015)

Our system has encountered an onboarding/setup related error. Click on `Resolve` to complete onboarding.

Our D365 F&O support partner hasn't been able to determine the issue and we're still waiting for the ExFlow support team to respond to our request for help. Hopefully someone else in the D365 Community has seen this issue before and can offer some assistance as to where we may need to start looking.

Hi Phil,

What exactly do you mean by Xflow? Are you probably using Exflow from Signup Software? If so, this is a third party product and for that reason it is good that you contacted that support team.

In case you are using Exflow, then I can't help you as their web portal is not built using the Dynamics 365 F&O platform.

Hi André Arnaud de Calavon, yes I mean ExFlow from Signup Software and have updated the ticket to correct the spelling.

For users of the D365 F&O ISV ExFlow module, the web app comes with it, so most likely F&O users will also have exposure and likely also use the web app. So it's the F&O community I'm reaching out to for possible advice to resolve this issue and fully understand Microsoft won't be able to help in this case.

I agree with Andre, in the end, their support department will have to help you. However, this is a long shot, I see a access denied message in your post, have you checked the authorisation credentials that is used to connect to F&O from the portal? Perhaps it is expired?

Hi Phil,

It is for sure OK to ask on this forum. I have worked with Exflow myself before, but not using their web portal. Unfortunately, I'm not able to help with this particular question. Did you get a response from their support department already?

Hi all

Some good news this morning is that yes we had a response from Signup Software telling us to re-setup our authentication. We were in the middle of documenting the steps needed (so have not completed what whey asked us to so) and for some reason to our surprise the Web App appears to be working this morning again. The additional surprise is that it has a new UI with a release date of the 21 October 2024. We are assuming our authentication issue was related to this upgrade of the ExFlow Web App and Signup Software didn't anticipate this problem with its release. Or if they did we were not provided the upgrade release notes or asked to test in UAT. I'm following up with Signup Software to get a detailed explanation of the issue and how it was eventually resolved.
