How to create goods receipts based on value instead of quantity In D365 F&O?

D365 F&O seems to only accept goods receipts based on quantity (i.e. received 3 of 10 laptops) and does not allow for receiving based on value. Value based receipts are needed for many types of purchase orders, especially those related to services or custom supplied equipment where milestone payments are made.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I think this issue has been discussed in multiple threads in the forum.

There are two ways- 1. User can update the price in qty field and in unit price keep always 1, by this way, whatever the amount comes is, you receive the same by updating the qty.

Another way- you can think of swapping the name by some customization, like change the name of the qty field to price and unit price to qty.

    Hello

It's true that D365 F&O mostly enables quantity-based goods receipts. You'll need to employ workaround tactics, including manual journal entries or system individualization, for situations requiring value-based receipts, such as services or milestone compensation for custom equipment."
