is there a report that will show where item transactions were posted at a later date or will be posted at a later date other then the item manage tab>transactions in product and information?
reason is because trying activated cost and I received error then realized I had one item that i was posting the next date etc
Hi Janie,
What do you mean exactly by saying 'later date'?
Do you have an example?
Many thanks,
Ludwig
so I tried to activate costing for an item but received a message (standard cost cannot be changed etc) so I changed the date to activate because I had items that were posting at a later date? I want to see if there is a way I can see in the system where I can see which items are posting at a later time or how I would of known that before getting this error?
Hello Janie,
What is commonly done is resetting the session date before activating new standard cost prices.
As an example, if you want to activate prices for 01 July 2021 (i.e. in the future) then you set your session date to 1 July, activate the prices and then revert back to today's date to continue working.
This ensures that you get the prices active at the day you want.
Best regards,
ok that works, But is there a report that will show items posting at a later date?
Hello Janie Ven,
Are you looking for a report that lists you the active prices and their dates?
That is something that you can get from the costing version form and the standard reports that can be printed from there.
If those standard reports are not sufficient for you then you can either try to export the data to excel or ask a developer to create a new report for you.
Janie, I am not sure about a report, but the Inventory Management, Inquiries, Transactions, Transaction form can be filtered by > today's date. There are both Physical and Financial dates, so you would choose the one you need. That should show any inventory transaction posted with a date in the future. If you need GL transactions, which it doesn't sound like you do, you would need to look somewhere in General Ledger.
