Deleting Vendor Address IDs

We are going to be deleting some address IDs that are not used as defaults on the Vendor Maintenance card. Our assumption is that this will have no effect on historical transactions with the exception of not being able to drill down from the address ID field. Is this correct?

That is correct. However, if you ever run check links on the vendor tables you will see messages about address ID being missing. You will get a message about missing value when you try to zoom to the address ID. Address IDs take up very little space so I would just leave them where they are.
