Customer Open Transaction Report

Dear Experts

We face a problem with the customer open transaction per date report as the report taking a long time and some times it issues a time out error message, is there a way to make the report faster

note that there is no customizations in the report but there is a huge amount of data in the tables

    Hi Rabea,
    Have you tried the customer balance list report instead?
    It should run faster as it summarizes the transactions by customer.
    Alternatively, you can try to customer account statement report and filter only on the open transactions.
    What you can also try is running the customer open transaction report in batch mode, which should make a significant difference in the time the report runs.

    The Error Is

    A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

    any ideas ??

    Hi Rebea, Does your report run at all? Have you been able to run it lets say for a single customer and do you have performance issues there? If there is no other option maybe users can try running the report in pieces e.g. customer A-B, C-D, etc. Yet, irrespective of that I would recommend that you talk to your system administrator. I do not know how many data are included in your report but they can probably have a look at the reporting services server and help you getting out the report in a timely manner.     Dear Ludwig

    the problem is that the report is running and getting data viewed on the screen some times and some times issues the above error for the same customer account, we select just one customer
