Dear All,
We are using AX 2012 R3 with Retail for about 3 years.
We have few worker IDs with alpha numeric Personnel Number. (For example, '2150A')
Can we assign this worker to POS? If yes, how he will enter Operator ID? (In POS, Keypad has only numeric values)
Any suggestions?

The path to enable the option in the POS that allows you to select the workers from a list is the following:
[Company] / Retail / Setup / POS / Profiles / FunctionalityProfiles /
Open profile that you are currently using and enable checkBox:
Show staff list at logon
This way you don't need to change anything else
