Inventory Close Error, NEED HELP!!

We have never closed inventory this year. So I am trying to go back and close out inventory for every month in 2014. When I tried to close out June I ran into the following error:

I did some investigating and found that the inventory module access was restricted for this month, so I opened it up to all so I could complete the close.

When I went back to the closing and adjustment screen June still had a red ‘x’ next to it, but I do not have the option to cancel or resume.

So I then tried to go back and close out June again, but got the following message:

Then I tried to close July and got this message:

Now it seems that I am stuck and cannot close inventory for any future months. Does anyone have any insight on how to clear out this issue – either delete or actually complete the June closing – so that I can complete closing inventory for the rest of 2014.

Thank you,

Rosey

    Hi Rosey,

I have come across this issue before as well.

Other than selecting all for Inventory module, you should also open the specific period you are closing inventory for.

When I tried to resume or cancel etc, it did not work for me. I had to get a developer involved that could close the inventory close via code.

Then based on your preference, one could reverse and restart the close or leave it as is.

Please do ensure you open the period and set inventory module to all when performing a recalc and close for previous month, qtr etc

Based on your companies principals, do ask your Financial team if all other sub-ledger accounts are closed as Inventory is the last module that completes a month end.

    Hi Rosey,

Like Carlos mentioned you can use "Resume Calculation" or

click on the "Cancellation" button this totally cancels the previous months' closing and do a fresh closing.

    Hi Rosey,

in the closing and adjustment form you have the option to resume the calculation:

I don´t see this option in your screenshots, I don´t know if it is hide in the >> or it is something related with permissions.

Look for this option and you will can continue with the process :)

    Best  Regards,

    Carlos B.
