Preventing quote to order creation based on a field

For our order process we have a few conditions that need to be met for a quote to be processed into an order. If all of these conditions are met, then a field is set to /Ready/ and the quote can be converted. I was just wondering how I can achieve this check so that if the field isn't set to /Ready/ the order can't be created. If anyone has any insight on this, that would be so beyond helpful. Thanks!

We can use ribbon workbench to hide/show buttons based on field value:
