Same voucher no. with different dates in AX 2009

Hi All,

There has been a peculiar situation I am facing since months. Ideally a voucher should have same date even if you enter different dates for the same voucher, while validating system will reset the voucher to one same date. This is a standard functionality. But in this scenario a voucher with different date is validated and posted.VoucherIssue.png

When we try to simulate the same scenario in support system is properly resetting the date. There is an integration for the journal, initially we thought data coming from integration has an issue. However, when the journal voucher is created manually also, system is allowing to post the same voucher with different dates.

Please help.

    HI Khushi,

    Can you indicate what type of voucher it is? What is the source of this entry? Was it one document or are these two different independent postings? Note that there is a GL parameter where you specify if you allow duplicate voucher numbers or not.

    Hi Andre,

    In GL parameter 'Reject Duplicate' for voucher no. is enabled. Journal type is daily and the lines are created manually. Check continuous no. is also enabled.

    Hello Khushi,

    Is this the only voucher that shows the same number?

    Is it possible that the parameter 'reject duplicate' was disabled at the time the vouchers were created?

    Can you spend a view additional words on the integration that you have and how this works with AX2009?

    Hi Andre,

    This is not the only voucher. This happens randomly. In integration the file is received through integration batch and auto posts. But there is some manual journal also with the same issue. But I am not able to replicate the scenario in support. This is happening only in production.

    It's been long pending. We have not been able to reach the root cause of the issue.

    If this happens randomly and is related to a customized integration then it is almost  impossible for us to help.

    Can you talk to your development team that built this integration to take a look into this issue?
