Why Send to Excel is not enabled in few pages of Dynamics NAV?

Posted on by 25

Hi All,

We have been facing an issue on Send to Excel functionality of Dynamics NAV. For few few pages, Microsoft Excel option is grayed out where as word, print and attachment options are fine. Mostly, worksheet type pages are missing the Send to Excel option. But the same worksheet page in Cronus database is absolutely fine and we are able to export the data without any problem.

Please help me with this issue if anyone had come across the similar issues and resolved the same.

Thanks,
Jithin.

RE: Why Send to Excel is not enabled in few pages of Dynamics NAV?

Running into this as well, and after extensive troubleshooting I'm at a loss.

The account in question having issues is only missing this option within a few specific places in NAV and I'm not sure why. The option shows up under the same login on different local user profiles, different machines, etc. but not on the user profile on the machine in question. This is happening for multiple users, and does not appear to be happening based on machine or user account, but more likely based on some local user profile data. I have used revo uninstaller to remove everything NAV related that it could find for a complete uninstall/reinstall of NAV. I have Repaired and reinstalled Office as well to make sure that this is no Office/Excel issue. The option is there in other parts of NAV, but specifically not within "Journals" for me.

I'm not sure if you ever found an answer for this but I'm looking for some help as well since I'm going a bit mad with this.
