I have a requirement to upgrade data from 2009 to 2016 . Both 2009 database and 2016 databases belongs to different country localization. I am not considering to upgrade data in country specific tables . Can I upgrade in this scenario. If yes ,should I use w1 version upgrade toolkit or  can I use my current toolkit provided by current 2016 country specific setup DVD.

what if standard table has both localization fields and customization fields? how did you merge and how does your final FOB looks like?

I have merged the 2009 database of Italian localization into 2016 italian localization. Now I plan to compare upgraded 2016 Italian database to base version of Spanish database and transfer all custom fields to Spanish base version .

    Hi

If I understand correctly then you would like to merge the customization did in Italian database into Spanish Database.

In this you can merge the customization but data upgrade might be difficult in this case.

May be you can write some xmlport to import data or use rapidstart.

Yes I want to move only customization.Writing xml port for all the tables is very expensive task . I dont' want to upgrade data in localization specific tables .I want only standard tables data to be upgraded.

you are talking about localization tables and we are talking about localization fields in standard tables.

when you import new objects set without those localization fields while upgrading then it will show error that you have changed database structure etc.

you need to write upgrade codeunits to handle all those issues.
