Hyper-V cannot be installed - hypervisor is already running

Dear All,

My server (Windows Server 2012 R2) is hosted in cloud. There we are already using MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

Today i am going to configure Hyper-V but getting below error :

Could you please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Please give me more shed on this.

    Please ask a questions about Hyper-V in an appropriate forum; this one is about Dynamics AX. By the way, you'll also find some articles if you put the error message to a search engine.

    Nevertheless why do you want to install Hyper-V and run a VM inside another VM? Why don't you start set up the new VM using the same hypervisor as your current VM?

    Please tell us what you're trying to achieve - we can't tell you how to fulfil unknown requirements.

    You wanted to use a local box in your previous thread. Does it mean that you changed your mind and now you're trying to run it in cloud? Which cloud provider are you using? Are you aware that you can deploy AX boxes from LCS directly to Azure?

    I simply want to run VM from above link for Dynamics 365. This is my requirement.

    Now i already using cloud with Windows Server 2012 R2. Now please tell me is't possible?

    I'm sorry, but I don't see anything there about your cloud provider, whether you're aware of deployments from LCS and so on.

    I've got the same issue before!
    Just run the following commands in an elevated powershell promt:
    Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature –Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V –All -NoRestart
    Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-Hyper-V-Tools -IncludeAllSubFeature

    After a reboot you should be able to open a hyper-v Manager and create virtual machines.
