Hi All
What are the options for digital signature without actually signing? For example only a font change in RDLC or any other smart ways? For example use clicks button on say sales invoice and insert a signature?
I have the same question (0)

The simplest way to handle this is to save the signature image in BC in advance, and when signing (it may be a boolean field, or the name of the approver), just print the image on the report.
Or you can just display the approver name instead of the image. And it will not be displayed before confirmation.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.

Yes saving it as image will be the easiest approach and conditionally you can use that one OR you can build up a control addin  where in user or the concerned person can signin digitally and then you can use it. Depends on the requiremnts.

You can handle digital signatures in Business Central without actual signing by using smart alternatives like:

Pre-uploaded Signature Image: Store the user's signature image in the system, and show it on the report (e.g., Sales Invoice) only when a specific field like "Approved" is checked.

Approver Details as Signature: Instead of an image, display the name, designation, or timestamp of the person who approved. This acts as a soft signature.

Conditional Display: Ensure the signature (image or name) only appears once certain actions are completed, such as clicking a "Confirm" or "Sign" button on the page.

This gives a clean, audit-friendly way to indicate approval without needing a digital certificate or manual signing.
