Warning Message for Dimension Used in Wrong Company

Hi:

The same dimension value exists in two companies.

Is it possible to configure one company with a warning message telling the end user to post a transaction to that value in the other company, instead?

What you are asking for is not configurable, it is customizable. However, would you not want to use intercompany in such cases. And if you have not completed your implementation, you might consider the MEM product (Multi Entity Management) as it allows for multiple company's to be managed within one Business Central company and would give you the feature you desire.

The key mthod is Record.ChangeCompany([String]) Method.
