Hi Folks,

I have a question: can we use Billing Classification and Billing codes for a non-public sector company? All the documentation talks about this functionality but is linked only to public sector companies.

Hi,
As far as I know, these billing and classifications are a public sector function. You can view discussions in similar older thread. Solved: AX2012 using public sector AR billing classification in non-public business (dynamics.com)

What you have shared is true for AX. However, for D365 F&O, this functionality is common for both public and non-public sector companies. You can ref - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/public-sector/public-sector-functionality
