How do I set up probation period for all the employees? For example we have 6 months of probation period and i have to go to each employee and update it individually for each employee. i need to set 6 months duration for all the employees so whosoever has joined in last 6 months, they will fall under probation automatically.
Hi Stev1,
You can achieve this via customization. On creation of new employee, the probation period will be automatically set.
Hello Komi,
Thanks for the response. Can you please elaborate on 'customization'? How do set it up in the D365 HR application?
You can do it in two ways.
1. First you need to setup Power automate for new hire (create new employee) and set up probation period date from start date of employee + 6 months
2. For employees who joined in last 6 months, you can get list of employees in Power automate and set probation set.
If its Dynamics 365 HR, then you need to use Power automate or Logic Apps to make a change for new records or existing records. You cannot use X++ code as it is SAAS application.
I hope this helps.
