Hi All,

I need to print nth page ,or a range of pages in ax 2012 SSRS report.

the print  short cut ctrl + p from the report viewer form  actually triggers me to only a first n pages .

Is there any way around this

regards

Venkatesh

I wasn't sure if I understood issue, so had a look - in SSRS reports have header; there you may find printer icon and set printing parameters:

above seem to work perfectly, so not sure - how you are trying to set print options? I have feeling you are doing something wrong..

    regards

    Hi tomaz,

    Thank you for your reply

The UI looks like you are opening it from report server itself or may be ax 2009 ssrs SQL report library.

I am in ax2012 and rich client., My business user is very pirticular about viewing a report an then he wants to print say some thing like 6th page only out of 300 page report .

Now this is very tricky thing to commit to him (since he is adamant on saving to any format  )

I checked the report viewer form and seen what the save to option is trying to do. I was clueless for few hours and found from report server dump that exporting to any format is not saving from control to format but actually reprocessing the report into the specified format by SSRS server.

Now since its regenerating the report atleast from report server side, I am sure that ax reportviewer control can suffice more lines in a page than any format, even when the page settings are mentioned this becomes even more tricky. AX viewer control if we try to print it will ask how many pages to print not page numbers.

Please tell me if i have jumped into a wrong conclusion.

    awaiting your response
