insert new item to the invent table and skip the "select template" popup step

Hi Guys,

Am new to the X++ development, I've created a new form which is insert a new item to the "inventTable".

the problem is that every time I open my new form, the "select template" popup form appears asking the user to choose between item and blank as a type fro the new item.

I need to hide this popup and skip this step, but I don't know how to do that, I cant even figure out the caller of this form.

any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Can you post popup screen? In your form datasource, does your table use the extended data type itemid for that specific field?

What version of AX ? 2012?
