Financial statement (traditional)

Dears,

when wen tick the “Financial Statement” in System Administration / Setup / License Configuration (GL ->Financial statement (traditional)), the Financial statement will be enabled and it is shown in the GL Module under Setup in AX 2012 R3

However, if we apply the same in D356O, the Financial statement is not shown.

Any idea about that?

Best Regards,

Elie

    Hi Elie,

I have also seen the configuration key in D365 and it seems that this old functionality is completely deprecated.

To be honest, why do you still want to use this old stuff?

Management Reporter is much better and easier to handle. In addition, it is now seamlessly integrated into the D365 webclient.

So, I would suggest to forget the old stuff and completely switch to Management Reporter for your financial reports.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Dear Ludwig,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I will try to move to MR as per your suggestion but what if the customer doesn't buy the MR, how can i use this out of the box report in D365?

Thank you again for your continuous support.

    Regards,

    Elie

    Hi Elie,

MR is included in D365. There is no need to buy it separately as for example for AX2009 versions. All can be freely used without spending an additional $ :-)

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Thank you for your reply again.

As i understood, we can say that this report "Financial statement (traditional)" is become not available in D365 (Obsolete) and MR is the alternative?

Thank you for your valuable info.

    Regards,

    Elie

    Hi Elie,

I would agree with this statement.

Technically it might be possible to dig out the old traditional financial statements out of their grave :-) Yet, this is something I would not even try to do because MR has so many advantages compared to the old stuff.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

A developer might be able to make it available for you. It might, however, require some recoding/-development, which I do not know. That's why I would not do that at all.

If you need some additional information on the Management Reporter, take a look at the MS MR blog where you can access many videos and training materials for free. Here is the link: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/dynamics_financial_reporting

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
