Table Extension to New table

Posted on by 47
Hello everyone,

Bit of a strange one, I have made a table extension to the sales header for around 20 new fields that we use when quoting adding orders etc however upon doing this in my short-sightedness I realised that we would still just be replicating data from one quote to another. Is it possible to create a new table with the same fields that are in the table extension and then use a field transfer to input the data from the new table?

I thought that this should be possible but 99% sure that this would break the schema of the database?

Is it easier to remove/uninstall the extension and then recreate the fields in the new table?

    Hi Gerado,

Thanks for the reply, I am assuming then that I can create the new table with new id ranges, then re add the fields to the same pages etc as flowfields with the same ids and this would work or am I barking up the wrong tree?

    Hi
I hope this gives you a better idea of the transfer of information from one table to another.
When we talk about purchasing and sales tables, we have to respect some premises.
    Best regards
    Gerardo
